Let's explore

Asian & Pacifica Peoples Heritage Month

Culture – The rules and behavior we see as normal in our family and community.

Heritage – The family history and cultural practices given to us by our Ancestors. Many people have more than one heritage.

SMASH THE KYRIARCHY

Why Act Now?

Systemic racism and bigotry against Asians and Pacifica Peoples has been long overlooked and excused in our books, movies, and TV shows. Even now, it's primarily non-Asian and non-Pacifica artists and creators who profit off our stories and determine how we're represented. As the next generation of American Asians & Pacifica Peoples, we're taking back the narrative to counter stereotypes, dismantle bias, and tell our own stories.

Step Into Your Power: Take Action

Whether it's time, money, or our voice - we all have something to contribute.

if you have $15

Support the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center

As gentrification overwhelms the neighborhoods my family helped develop, there's a growing disparity in resources and support for Asian Americans and new immigrants in Boston's Chinatown.

The BCNC moves Asians and new immigrants from surviving to thriving in Greater Boston and beyond.
if you have 1 minute

Demand Justice for Jaahnavi Kandula

A Seattle Police officer hit and killed 23-year-old Jaahnavi Kandula through reckless driving. The NPD then made disparaging and inhumane remarks about Kandula.

The ACLU of Washington notes shameful as a pattern of violence in SPD that disproportionately targets BIPOC civilians. Tell Seattle & Washington elected officials and the white house - these officers accountable.

Delicious Kids Books That Dismantle Anti-Asian Racism

Referring to Asian as food ‘ethnic’ centers whiteness as the norm

Actually – stop calling all of our stuff – particularly us as people, ‘ethnic,’ ‘diverse,’ and ‘exotic.’

It’s othering, it’s fetishy, and it makes us uncomfortable. When you talk about us like this, you’re feeding into the stereotype that we’re perpetual foreigners who don’t belong here. Cut it out.
