Tell Banks to Stop Financing Private Prisons

Geo Group helped build his concentration camps along the Mexican-US border where kids were separated from their parents.

Almost all banks in the world, including JP Morgan and BNP, have publicly stated that they would no longer loan money to private prison companies. This has cost Geo Group roughly one billion dollars in loans and its stock price to plummet.

House and Senate negotiators released a tax proposal that would improve the Child Tax Credit for about 80% of families with low incomes who now do not receive the full credit and lift an estimated 400,000 children above the poverty line.

Pass The Books Save Lives Act To Stop Censorship

In 2023, over 700 book bans in public libraries targeted marginalized authors and topics, including books on race and racism and LGBTQIA+ topics.
The Books Save Lives Act would require trained librarians in schools, require public and school liberties to maintain a diverse collection, classify discriminatory book bans as violation of federal civil rights laws, and establish tracking and reporting on book bans on marginalized communities.

According to a recent analysis, historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) have been underfunded by $13 billion over the last 30 years.

The law requires equal funding for colleges created through segregation. increased funding supports critical infrastructure, student services, and competitiveness for research grants -- and finally begin to right decades of inequity.

The death penalty is flawed, unjust, and discriminatory. Convicts on death row are more likely to be Black, poor, and to have mental illness or intellectual disabilities. And the death penalty is more frequently imposed when the victims are white.
