Hey friends! Happy Lunar New Year!

This month, our family welcomes the Year of the Rabbit. The Rabbit year is about kindness, compassion, and consideration for others.

It’s supposed to be a *gentle* year – although I don’t know how to reconcile that with my particular brand of ‘SMASH ALL THE OPPRESSION WHILE BLOWING RASPBERRIES AT THE BIGOTS.’

But hey I’m up for new things – let’s try it out!

:: nudges you to light a fire under your family and speak truth to bullshit ::: ( but *gently,* like a bunny )

Oh wow this is gonna be hard for me. ANYHOO…

This February we’re igniting a spark of compassion in our kids by getting honest about how the world really is – and what an amazing place it could be

…IF we can resist false urgency and other nonsense that distracts us from dismantling injustice from the roots up.

Here’s to pushing for radical change through the year of the rabbit and beyond!

With you,

Ashia R.

PS: Grab a limited-edition Year of the Rabbit hoodie & support this toolkit!

STEP 4: ASSESS YOUR CAPACITY

Step Into Your Power: Take Action

Learning and talking is great - but nothing will change until we take action. Whether it's time, money, or influence - we all have something we can share to change the world.

This is who we are. This is the power we hold. This is how we show up.

Tell Congress to push back against state attempts to block Black history.

Revved up and ready for more?

I really want to thank you for the work you do compiling thoughtful book recommendations. There really isn't anything else like it on the internet.

I've been following Books For Littles since my little was born, and realized that I should be supporting the excellent work you do. There are so many books I would not have discovered had it not been for you.
