Overwhelm tends to spread like a virus. So I’m not gonna pile all the research and infodumps and THINGS I’ve been working on to distract me from panic.
Instead I’ll share one thing I made last month – a new toolkit on talking about Palestine with kids.
I have… too many feelings about this to properly introduce it. We’re organizing to support local Palestinian, Muslim, Jewish, and Arab families on the ground – while also screaming at our legislators to end the siege on Gaza, secure a safe passage for Israeli hostages, and stop egging on violence against Palestinians on the West Bank.
Whether or not you have time to engage with the Palestine toolkit, you can still make an impact in less than 5 seconds a day.
Just text Follow Watermelon to the number 50409 for the easiest daily prompts.
Resistbot will then text you once a day asking if you’d like to send a pre-written letter via text. Literally all you have to do is click ‘yes’ each day to forward Sarah Sayer’s well-researched, emphatically written advocacy letters to your local legislators.
I totally understand if you’re confused, overwhelmed – you’re afraid of messing up, hurting someone – and you’re not sure what to do.
No judgement – let me know your hesitations, what’s holding you back from advocating against genocide. I’ll be happy to break it down and help you get a handle on it.
