COLLAB LAB EXPERIMENT

Looking for a space to nerd out about books?

Gather in the Radical Caregiver Book Club, where we're sharing recommendations and discussing the books we're reading lately.

Join the Luminary Braintrust Book Club for Grown-Ups

With a shared love of reading and curiosity about social justice, the new Radical Caregiver Book Club gives us a space to talk about the non-kids-books that don’t fit in our Family Action Toolkits.

Want to infodump about your favorite story? Wondering if others are as confused about that plot-twist as you were? Looking for book recommendations?

Share your recommendations and reflections with us by joining the discussion group.

What have you been reading lately?

  • What books—fiction, nonfiction, workbooks, or graphic novels—have sparked your curiosity or shaped your activism?
  • How does literature help you navigate the challenges of parenting and advocacy?
  • Which stories, tropes, and books set your teeth on edge?
  • What stories or themes have resonated with you?

How this works:

  • We gather on Marco Polo, an asynchronous video chat app, to share thoughts on what we’re reading.
  • There’s no required reading—jump in with whatever book you’d like to talk about at the moment.
  • Share quick reflections, recommendations, or deep dives into themes and ideas.
  • Drop in whenever you have time—no pressure, no deadlines, at your own pace.
  • Start a conversations about a new book, or add your reflections on the books other members bring into the space.
  • It’s totally okay to spin off the discussion into TV, movies, or your thoughts and personal experiences about the topics we’re unpacking in these books.
Focused discussion

Join this group channel on the Marco Polo app to share which books you're reading, ask for recommendations, and chat with other caregivers about books for adults and kids.

Sometimes we talk about TV and movies too!
